Broadway, NYC (MightLikeYouBetter.com)

These images are from my good friend Chris’s style blog www.MightLikeYouBetter.com.

I feel like the details of his look are so well crafted. If I’m not mistaken, Chris told me the gentleman below designs his own clothes.

12.20.09 Stuck Mode in NYC

December 20, 2009

So I have a flight tomorrow, but I’m not sure of anything until I’m seriously on the plane and in the air. Wish me luck. I’m still trying to enjoy the blizzard aftermath! WOOOT

8.14.09 Help Save the Red Thread!

August 14, 2009
Red Thread Studio caught fire. This is a campaign to help restore Angelia’s business.
Save Red Thread. Red Thread fiber boutique, gallery and crafts space in Virginia was badly damaged when the building next-door caught fire.  Most of the inventory was lost or damaged, and the owner really needs some help.  Erin, from Design For Mankind, has started a campaign to help her out here is her blog post. I’ve already received a few emails re: this post, announcing that a DFM reader’s brick-and-mortar craft/gallery space caught fire this weekend. I’m pulling together a fundraiser for dear Angelia, entitled ‘Save the Thread’ and would love for everyone’s help in getting Angelia and Red Thread Studio back on their feet. Here’s how you can help: 1. SHOPPES: Please post a discount on your blog and Etsy home description of your commitment to help Angelia. You can donate as much as you’d like percentage-wise, but I’d suggest 20% of sales for the month of August. 2. BLOGS: Spread the word about Angelia’s fire with a link to this post, including the logo above. If you do post about the fundraiser, please email me so I can update Save the Thread’s blog with progress and press. 3. ARTISTS: If you have extra wares, please consider sending them to Angelia’s gallery space. All inventory was lost, so she’ll be replacing quite a bit of items. Contact Angelia right here to coordinate delivery. 4. READERS: We’ll gladly be accepting donations from anyone and everyone. If you stumble across a few extra bucks this week, please consider donating to the cause via Paypal right here. I’d love to see this community stand together as one to save the tread, and in turn, make a statement about the role we’d like handmade/craft to play in our future. Thank you to all in advance, and check the blog for further updates.

Slackin’ McSlackerson!

June 23, 2009

I have been slacking. I had the flu last week, so I had to take some time off. But I’ve printed business cards and am ready to hit the streets! Let me know if you would like to be photographed. sarkis[at]towardstyle[dot]com

If you don’t yet, follow me on twitter. Promise to be around more.

Sorry I haven’t been around!

May 27, 2009

I have been ridiculously slaving at my full-time job, HealthCorps, teaching kids how to cook healthier meals, eat better, and exercise. I have also been involved in a couple health fairs, with the big one coming up this Saturday. Soon I will be back on par with fashion blogging.

thanks for dropping by.
